Things I saw while working by the pond, and en route, with my dad:


Multitudes of huge water spiders, many with egg sacs attached.

A ginormous vole-like thing almost the size of a rat (but not a rat) that was extremely well-fed and extremely nonplussed that I was raking up its handy foliage cover.

Several frogs

Evidence of beavers. They can really girdle a tree!

A male wild turkey that decided to chase off my dad's car. I thought my dad was going to get pecked!

Two deer feasting on the delectable flowers in the new funeral wreaths placed at the Falls Road cemetery.

Lots and lots of sweat.
